The story

The Dom Pérignon 2008 is considered by many to be the best vintage produced by the maison in recent decades: a fresh summer and a long ripening have given grapes of an acidity and rare precision for champagne. The assembly, as per the tradition of the cuvée, combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the best champagne crus. In Magnum format the evolution is even slower and more elegant, and this Magnum arrives today in a phase of great balance between freshness and tertiary complexity.

The producer

Dom Pérignon was born as a prestigious cuvée of the Maison Moët & Chandon, with symbolic headquarters in the Abbey of Hautvillers, where according to tradition the Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon helped to perfect the techniques of Assembling and sparkling champagne. Since 1936, each vintage is produced only in the harvests deemed exceptional, with an approach that favors tension and aging capacity over immediate opulence - qualities that a magnum like this best expresses, thanks to a slower evolution than the standard format.

The moment

A great Dom Pérignon 2008, served in Magnum: one of the most important vintages of the Maison, shared with eight of our special customers on an evening that deserved this Magnum.
